ASUS Eee PC 1016P-BU17 Atom N455 10.1-Inch Netbook Review

The ASUS Eee PC 1016P-BU17 10.1-Inch netbook is intended for corporate world and comes with brushed Aluminum-like finish. It has a very similar business-oriented look that the HP Mini 5102 has.

The Eee PC 1016P has a 10.1-inch LCD with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and runs on an Intel Atom N455 processor. The specs have been beefed up for a business user and you will find 2GB of RAM for added muscle, a 320GB hard drive that shouldn’t leave you wanting for more space and 10 hours of battery life for all day computing. It also features a touchpad with palm rejection technology to prevent unwelcome cursor movements during typing.

Screensaver would be set as off automatically and switch to LCD+CRT Mode directly if the 1016P-BU17 has been linked to an external monitor or a projector.

It comes preloaded with Windows 7 Professional instead of the usual starter edition.

We found about 10 reviews online for this product and the average user rating is 5 out of 5 stars.

Most users are very happy with the purchase. One reviewer said that “it provides a full work machine in a netbook package – sips power and while not lightning fast, it definitely does the job! Extremely light and portable machine with most all the bells ‘n whistles of the bigger notebooks for a quarter or half the price”.

There were some negative reviews for this product but the majority of those came from people that either got a defective model or experienced poor customer service. A poor customer service experience from some users cannot be held against the product itself and according to our research the ASUS Eee PC 1016P-BU17 10.1-Inch netbook seems to be a good quality netbook.
