The ASUS Eee PC 1215T-MU17 12.1-inch netbook is part of Asus’ Seashell Eee PC netbook series. It is packed with 1.7GHz AMD Athlon Neo II K125 processor and ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics. This is a better combination than Intel’s Atom processor and GMA 3150 graphics, and offers greater performance. It can play 1080p HD video files and comes with an HDMI port.
The Asus Eee PC 1215T comes with a glossy LED-backlit widescreen display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution. It also comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 320GB hard drive – as good as it gets with a mainstream netbook nowadays. The Eee PC 1215T also incorporates three USB ports, VGA port, card reader slot, and 100Mbit Ethernet LAN.

User Reviews
After searching on a number of shopping sites and forums we were not able to find any written user reviews for the ASUS Eee PC 1215T-MU17 12.1-inch netbook. We did however find a number of reviews on popular video sharing sites so we watched a bunch of videos to see what people did or did not like about this netbook.
In the video reviews for the Eee PC 1215T-MU17 people were not happy with the keyboard, where important keys like Enter is smaller in size, the backslash key is placed near the left Shift button. The keyboard were found to flex and dip while typing.
The integrated single-strip mouse buttons on the touchpad are tricky to use instead of dedicated left and right buttons. Most of the times you have to press left or right quite hard and the ‘click’ isn’t smooth. Working with the mouse button takes its own learning curve.
The battery life were reported to be below par. However, as is always the case on a laptop or netbook, for greater number-crunching performance, battery life is always sacrificed. That’s the case with the Asus Eee PC 1215T too.
But on the flip side, the Eee PC 1215T has superior hardware configuration than what we get from a typical netbook. Rest assured, the Asus Eee PC 1215T goes beyond a regular 10-inch netbook’s performance – not only can it play 720p HD video files but also 1080p HD video, which is something you can’t say about a lot of netbooks. Multitasking with browsing the Web, working on productivity suite and listening to music isn’t a problem on the Eee PC 1215T.
The ASUS Eee PC 1215T-MU17 retails for a price of about $450 and it’s definitely expensive than 10-inch netbooks. However,if you can live with the clunky keyboard and touchpad button, and desire for a 12-inch widescreen with faster processor and dedicated graphics with a performance better than most netbook, definitely check out the Asus Eee PC 1215T-MU17.
