Acer Aspire One D255 Netbook with Dual-Core Processor – Powered by Atom N550

Acer Aspire One D255 Netbook Comes with Intel’s shiny new dual core Atom N550 netbook processor, which features dual 1.5GHz cores with 512KB of L2 cache. The Atom N550 has two cores and with Hyper-Threading, that makes up for 4 threads in total. Hyperthreading should give you a bit of a boost when performing multitasking.

There have been netbooks with dual core Atom processors before, but those were in fact designed for a nettop, so the dual core 1.5GHz Atom N550 is the first true dual core Atom netbook CPU.
