AMD Nile Platform Based Netbooks From Acer – Aspire One 521, 721 and 1551

The promised influx of new netbook models are coming now and in heaps. Now Acer has unveiled three new netbook models powered by AMD’s new low power processors and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225.

The Acer Aspire One 521 has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.2GHz AMD V105 single core processor, DDR3 memory, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, HDMI output, and up to 7 hours of battery life.

The Acer Aspire One 721 has a 11.6 inch display with resolution of 1366×768 pixels, a 1.2 GHz dual core AMD Athlon Neo K325 processor, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics. The netbook comes with Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI, three USB ports, a 5600mAh battery, and optional 3G module.

Acer Aspire One 1551 boasts a 1.5GHz AMD Turion II Neo dual core processor, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, and a 11.6-inch display with resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It packs HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional 3G modem.

With the netbook market being saturated with Intel Atom processors, AMD and Acer has created a powerful Atom alternative netbook as far as specs are concerned.
